As a legacy application, CorelDRAW Graphics Suite is a completely toolset of graphics editing and manipulation software that work well with illustration, photo touch up and general editing.
Been using CorelDRAW since version 10 and have always been a fan, but it seems every release becomes less stable, slower and lags more. Running X8 on a brand new computer and is considerably slower both in launching and processing than X3 running on a 10 year old computer. A colleague of mine says 2019 is no better so I see no reason to upgrade. Corel Draw X8 Serial Number software is a powerful computer graphics software; however, it is also considered as the most basic of free software. It features two tools: a drawing pen and an eraser tool. These tools are extremely useful for creating drawings or paintings.
The user interface of CorelDRAW is actually still pretty well arranged, with all of the tools represented by icons in a variety of different panels which can be rearranged. In the default setup, the main image editing tools are found in the left-side panel and including selection, geometric shapes, text input, drawing, color selection and some other mouse-controlled editing tools.
In the top portion of the screen, we're welcomed with an Office-like menu with some properties and general options for the current tool selected with the main canvas in the center area.
The drawing tools available with CorelDRAW are actually a pleasure to use. Creating flowing lines is possible, unlike some other paint programs which don't automatically correct jitter. Also worth noting is that drawings with CorelDRAW are created as vector graphics instead of pixels like Adobe Photoshop.
In terms of editing files and saving them, CorelDRAW fully supports all of the mainstream standards such as JPG, PNG, GIF and others including its own CDR format which is a type of vector image file.
CorelDRAW also comes with some neat and useful utilities including Corel CONNECT, Corel PHOTO-PAINT, Corel CAPTURE and Corel PowerTRACE. All tools which help you organize, search, edit, take screen captures and convert bitmaps into vector images.
The program overall is pretty straightforward and easy-to-use, but the online collection of tutorials helps flatten the learning curve.
In conclusion: CorelDRAW is an excellent choice for graphics editing and creation and a great way to create vector graphics and other illustrations.

Where to Start
Most of what you need to know about LibriVox can be found on the LibriVox Forum and the FAQ. LibriVox volunteers are helpful and friendly, and if you post a question anywhere on the forum you are likely to get an answer from someone, somewhere within an hour or so. So don't be shy! Many of our volunteers have never recorded anything before LibriVox.
Types of Projects
We have three main types of projects:
- Collaborative projects: Many volunteers contribute by reading individual chapters of a longer text.
- We recommend contributing to collaborative projects before venturing out to solo projects.
- Dramatic Readings and Plays: contributors voice the individual characters. When complete, the editor compiles them into a single recording
- Solo projects: One experienced volunteer contributes all chapters of the project.
Proof Listener (PL)
Not all volunteers read for LibriVox. If you would prefer not to lend your voice to LibriVox, you could lend us your ears. Proof listeners catch mistakes we may have missed during the initial recording and editing process.
Reader (Narrator)
Readers record themselves reading a section of a book, edit the recording, and upload it to the LibriVox Management Tool.

One Minute Test
We require new readers to submit a sample recording so that we can make sure that your set up works and that you understand how to export files meeting our technical standards. We do not want you to waste previous hours reading whole chapters only to discover that your recording is unusable due to a preventable technical glitch.

Book Coordinator (BC)
A book coordinator (commonly abbreviated BC in the forum) is a volunteer who manages all the other volunteers who will record chapters for a LibriVox recording.
Metadata Coordinator (MC)
Metadata coordinators (MCs), help and advise Book Coordinators, and take over the files with the completed recordings (soloists are also Book Coordinators in this sense, as they prepare their own files for the Meta coordinators). The files are then prepared and uploaded to the LibriVox catalogue, in a lengthy and cumbersome process.
